Shoe Die For
At last! True shoe creativity. If I wore these shoes I would never stop looking at my feet.
As my friend Lisa said "Alexander McQueen really brought it this season".

I took my first shot at a series I'm doing where I travel around and meet and get styled by local designers.

I'm writing for SFAppeal.com
Sorry I haven't updated. I've been writing columns, a weekly advice column called "Ask Babe" and a column every other Thursday called "Loiterer About Town", for SFAppeal.com.
Here is a link to my previous pieces on SFAppeal.com
Or you can just go to www.sfappeal.com and search for Babe Scanlon.
woo!
I'll still post here, I just need to get a backlog stored up for the columns.

We Finished our Movie! Holy Smokes!
The film, Tracy, that I've been workin on for 6 years with my husband, is finished. We had a great first screening on Friday night.
We worked on it every free moment of our time. I'm glad to have it finished but I already miss working on it.
In honor of this huge occasion we've posted the animated opening to the film. You can watch it here: http://vimeo.com/3292322
Here also is the trailer:

We are going to enter it in film festivals. Honestly I can't wait to start our next project.

Dior Look for Dimes
Target has amazing prices as it is but right now they're having a sale on Isaac Mizrahi dresses and some of them look remarkably like a Dior dress. The dress below is Dior, and it sells for $2,490.00 (that's two thousand, four hundred and ninety dollars).
The dresses below are Isaac Mizrahi for Target. Both are on sale. The one on your left is $24.99 the one on your right is $9.99 (that's nine dollars and ninety nine cents).
All you'd have to do is slap some bows on the back of the straps, add a belt, maybe hem the dress a couple of inches and you've got a damn good Dior look while SAVING up to $2,480.01.
It's a no brainer, buy the Target dress and use the extra money to go to Hawaii.

Lash Stiletto Update
This is my favorite mascara by far. Chanel, YSL, Dior and Shu Uemura can take their overpriced mascaras and just leave!

Maybelline Stiletto Lash Works!!!
No kidding. It lengthens my lashes like crazy. It doesn't make them look much thicker but that's nothing a little eyeliner won't fix. And really with lashes, it's all about length.
And it's only like $8. I've been wearing YSL, Chanel, Dior and Shu Uemura for $27 a pop for the last few years. All of them get clumpy in a month. If Maybelline Stiletto Lash lasts that long I'm totally sold.
Crud I could buy 2 Maybelline Stiletto Lashs a month PLUS a fancy cocktail and still come out even!
Dang, with skills like this, I could fix this whole frickin' economy!

Let Downs
I organized my lipstick the other day. It was something I had been looking forward to for a while. I imagined my self with a chunk of free time, gleefully handling each lipstick as I decided it's place in the organization. But it just wasn't that awesome. I was disappointed by the experience. Now I'm worried that I have to face a life where I can no longer predict my own cognitive experiences. What do I have left?
Mondrian!
